Mason is a duo of Dutchmen who produce slick dance music with deliberately clever melodies. They are working on a new full length with some exciting guest talent -- Roisin Murphy + Massive Attack collaborator Debbie Claire. Can't wait! A new EP called Our Summer Volcano will be released shortly which contains Our Summer (of Sex) and Volcano, both of which i've heard/seen live and love. Volcano was written while the band was stranded in an airport due to the Eyjafjallajökull eruption in Iceland. How festive!

The 'dragons (as we call them) are heading out on tour again, and I'm totally excited to see they have Cut Copy and Dan Black as their tour mates for a few dates! See you at Bowery Ballroom in August!  - Matt

Morcheeba has a uniquely chill vibe to them that i've loved since 2002's Charango (standout tracks are Slow Down, Otherwise and Sao Paulo) They're making a return with the Skye Edwards fronted Blood Like Lemonade, available on July 13th. A remix album will follow suit (yes!)

I think i've blown out my vocal chords singing along to You've Got The Love by Florence + The Machine.  Covers are always a risky thing, but Ms. Welch totally belts it out. If you haven't seen her live, it's an absolute must…she sings just as perfectly as on the record.

I'm really in the club remix mood as of late, so you'll be seeing a lot of those -- but only the best!  Here is the Sanna & Pitron mix. Pump it up! - Matt

I was DJing at Bull Moose in NYC's Hell's Kitchen over the weekend and a friend dropped by with his USB stick and the Grum remix of Oh No! by Marina & The Diamonds.  It's one of my favorites off the album, with its super pop chorus + backup vocals that sound like they were lifted straight from a Tim Burton movie. The official video has also just premiered, and I have to say it's my least favorite video by Marina.  Very uncreative, boring and just blah. Too bad, the track is hot! I'm also pretty hyped over the Sanna + Pitron mix which I will share soon! - Matt
